Bristol International Airport is located 8 miles (13 km) south of the city and an airport taxi takes about 30 min to drive to the city centre or you can take the coach .
If you are flying into Heathrow or Gatwick Airports, the best way of travelling to Bristol is to take the National Express Coach, which provides a frequent and reliable service. Journey time from Gatwick Airport to Bristol is around 3.5 hrs and a ticket costs from 35 GBP. Click here for further information.
The journey from Heathrow Airport to Bristol takes around 2 hrs and costs from 25 GBP. Click here for further information. The Workshop venue and university accommodation is less than a 10-min taxi ride from Bristol Bus and Coach Station in Marlborough Street.
If travelling by rail, note that Bristol Temple Meads is the railway station closest to Bristol city centre, the university, the Teaching Workshop venue and university accommodation. It is 2 miles away from the university and a taxi ride from the station to the university accommodation takes 15-20 min; however this could take longer in heavy traffic. Bristol Parkway railway station is 7 miles outside the centre of Bristol and we do not recommend that you alight there.
